Diamond Resolutions was founded in Dallas Texas in November of 2015 by a small team of independent business owners who wanted to do more than fork over checks to their respective charities and nonprofits of choice. The group wanted to help the countless organizations and charities that are misrepresented; not through lack of commitment to their missions, but in the lack of organizational structure, fundraising, and volunteer recruiting and training practices that the larger Non Profit Organizations are benefited with.
There are Approximately 1.41 million registered Non-profits in the U.S. which is very misleading, because religious congregations and organizations with less than $50,000 in annual revenue are not required to register with the IRS. And out of 1.41 million registered Non-Profits, only 35 percent of them reported to the IRS in 2013. Which mean there was a lot of causes and missions that may have went unfunded or inadequately supported
For Diamond Resolutions, the concept of simply writing a check was replaced by forming an agency with a desire and willingness to help smaller less fortunate organizations with recruiting and training volunteers. But in this concept, problems arose. It's only common sense, that these small nonprofit organizers which were having trouble organizing their charities, because of lack of knowledge in the business arena of philanthropy and volunteer recruiting and management, that most would continue to struggle when just being provided with volunteers for their causes. Not to mention the lack of retention and the ill feelings of volunteers who were put with organizers or staff whom were improperly trained and under resourced to organize them efficiently.
A lot of time, effort, and finances went into the idea of not only providing recruitment and training for volunteers, but also in recruiting companies and professionals willing to offer their expertise to help make the charities and their projects run more efficient; a deeper collaboration that would bring benefits to both. The charities get specialized help that they may not have been able to afford, and companies and professionals appreciate the chance to use their expertise to produce a greater community impact.
Diamond Resolutions is an agency, living up under the business saying that "cash is king", but using and utilizing its strengths, and building those into their corporate philanthropy to make a bigger impact. Up under the new system, Volunteers feel more useful and more satisfied, Nonprofit organizers are more excited and comfortable in concentrating on their missions, and Companies and Professionals are grateful to be able to use their expertise for community service.
Be hard on the process and easy on the people was the biggest lesson for the small team who started Diamond Resolutions with big dreams of helping the many, who helps so many. Creating empowered teams of people working with direction, power, recognition, reward and the training they need to help satisfy and develop their communities; Diamond Resolutions is proud to be a part of the process.
